Lexus Dealerhsip Launch Oman

January 2008

For the recent opening of the Lexus Oman car dealership in Muscat, the brief from the client specified the AV technology needed to be state-of-the-art yet work in harmony with the plush surroundings. The car dealership, as you would expect, is luxurious, with a rich interior and design-led architecture. And with the event attended by local and industry dignitaries and press, production company LIVE needed to ensure every aspect of the event was executed with 100% accuracy.

The Muscat location was in perfectly proximity to utilise the benefits of CT Dubai’s recent larger premises and increased inventory. As a result project manager Mark Woodhouse, was able to recommend and supply a number of solutions to the client.

There were two main elements to the event; the first being the main car dealership launch. CT supplied a flown 44m² Barco D7 LED screen, created in a 16:9 format. The screen was interspersed with VT playback, graphics and live footage via one of the 4 cameras supplied with all sources fed through CT’s Grass Valley SDI PPU.

The second part on the launch, the gala dinner, held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Muscat had two large relay screens with 2 Panasonic 10K DLP projectors. The sources, similar to the earlier launch, were supplied with a digital PPU and 4 HD cameras.

Working alongside long standing client LIVE, Mark Woodhouse comments, “We are really pleased with the end result. The screens were bright with a crisp, clear image. Historically most of the work with LIVE has always been through our UK office but it naturally made sense for LIVE to work with CT Dubai for their Middle East events. We hold the same kit as the UK so it makes their life easy, they trust us and know we have the capabilities to deliver a really good event.”
