For Creative Technology Emirates, 2009 began at a sprint promising their busiest year yet.

Lionel Richie’s recent European arena tour, his first since the sell-out Coming Home tour of 2007, also marked the artist’s first collaboration with the highly experienced Lars Brogaard, who took on overall production management duties as well as mixing the house sound.

For the 10th year running, Creative Technology were approached by the BBC to deliver the on-set LED screen for BBC’s 28th annual Children in Need televised appeal.

For a second year, Production Designer Simon Beresford was asked to design the set for the second annual Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. The starting point for this year’s design was looking at 1950s architectural schemes for cities of the future and town planning.

The coveted Nationwide Mercury Prize for Album of the Year is an annual award for the best British or Irish album of the previous year. The overall winner of the 2008 Prize was announced at an evening awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House, London in September.
